After Judwaa 2, Varun Dhawan To Star In Shoojit Sircar's Love Story
Shoojit is a man who is full of surprises. He is in advanced talks with Varun Dhawan, for his next film after Pink
This one he will
direct and no prizes for guessing that his favourite writer Juhi Chaturvedi
(Vicky Donor, Piku) is penning it. So yeah, if all goes well, Varun Dhawan will
wait for Shoojit's orders- Lights, Camera, Action- in a few months from now.

The film is
believed to be a simple love story, with a slice of life.
The heroine has
not yet been finalised.
Varun has loved
his role and agreed in principle. He has not yet signed the film though, as the
modalities are yet being worked out.
It is clear that
the film will be produced under Shoojit's banner Rising Sun Films.
It seems that
Ranbir is busy with the Dutt biopic, which in turn has given Shoojit time to go
in for a quickie. The biopic, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, also stars Sonam
Kapoor, Manisha Koirala, Dia Mirza, Paresh Rawal and Vicky Kaushal.

We had told you a
few days ago that Shoojit had zeroed down on Ranbir to play Udham
Singh (the man who assassinated
Michael O'Dwyer to avenge the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre).
The heroine of the Udham Singh also has not yet been cast. A lot now depends on
when the Dutt biopic is complete.
Meanwhile, Varun
awaits Badrinath Ki Dulhania where he has been cast opposite Alia Bhatt. The
film is produced by Karan Johar and directed by Shashank Khaitan. The film
marks the second instalment of the franchise that began with Humpty Sharma Ki
Dulhania in 2014. Principal photography for the film began in May 2016, and the
film is currently slated to release on March 11, 2017, on
the Holi weekend.

Alongside, Varun
has started shooting for Sajid Nadiadwala's Judwaa 2. Jacqueline Fernandez and
Taapsee Pannu will play the female leads opposite the two Varuns. Judwaa which
released in 1997 starred Salman Khan in two avatars opposite Karisma Kapoor and
Rambha.
Interestingly,
Salman and Karisma will play cameos in the sequel.
